Previewish – UFC 100 – TJ Grant vs. Dong Hyun Kim

July 6, 2009

When there are UFC events, I’m going to do short previews for every single fight on the card individually. It’ll be a great chance to try and get to know the lesser known guys that fill out the spaces in the PPV shows that are created after quick stoppages. Sometimes, they make the PPV worth the buy.

TJ “No Gimmick” Grant (14-2) vs. Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim (11-0-1-1)

Welterweights

donghyunkimKim’s last 2 fights have been extremely close. He won a close decision against Matt Brown at UFC 88 and lost a close decision to Karo Parisyan at UFC 94. Luckily, Parisyan was on some illegeal meds during the fight and the loss was wiped clean from his record. Fun fact: Kim is the first Korean to ever win a fight in the UFC. This was made possible by MASH.

TJ Grant is a young Canadian who won his UFC debut at UFC 97 against Ryo Chonan. He is a Novia Scotian Jiu-Jitsu practioner. For more information on Mr. Grant, check out his Facebook page, eh.
