Previewish – TUF 9 Finale – Brad Blackburn vs. Edgar Garcia

June 17, 2009

When there are UFC events, I’m going to do short previews for every single fight on the card individually. It’ll be a great chance to try and get to know the lesser known guys that fill out the spaces in the PPV shows that are created after quick stoppages. Sometimes, they make the PPV worth the buy.

“Bad” Brad Blackburn (16-9-1)  vs. Edgar Garcia (7-0)

Welterweights

Edgar_GarciaBlackburn comes from the International Fight League where he fought fo the Seattle Tiger Sharks. You have to wonder if Blackburn still has any of that Tiger Shark in him. He’s 2-0 in the UFC with wins over Jason Giboo and Ryo Chonan. According to his website, Blackburn used to be a Loan Officer and is a “Master of Badness.”

Edgar Garcia (pictured with poster, which also happens to be a picture of him) is making his UFC debut. He’s an undefeated fighter out of Mexico who was last seen knocking out Hiromitsu Miura at WEC 38. I’m sure he has an awesome nickname like “Cherry,” but I couldn’t find it.

Come on CRM, you’re turning into TBL. Just because his last name’s Garcia doesn’t mean he’s fighting out of Mexico.

Loving the site though. Keep the previews coming.
