Previewish – UFC 99: The Comeback – Dennis Siver vs. Dale Hartt

June 10, 2009

When there are UFC events, I’m going to do short previews for every single fight on the card individually. It’ll be a great chance to try and get to know the lesser known guys that fill out the spaces in the PPV shows that are created after quick stoppages. Sometimes, they make the PPV worth the buy.

Dennis Silver was born in Russia and fights out of Germany so he’ll be the second guy with a home-country advantage Saturday. In his last fight, at UFC 93, he won Knockout of the Night thanks to a beautiful spinning back kick against Nate Mohr. It was really the highlight of Joe Rogan’s trip to Ireland.

Dale Hartt (pictured, middle) is the man that checked the kick that snapped Corey Hill’s tibia. How does Hartt feel about what happened? Well, his MySpace picture is a .gif of Hill breaking his leg. That’s just kind of sick. When I went to check out his page, I was not prepared for that. Then again, I doubt Corey Hill was either.
